Welcome to our dedicated page for the annual Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix. Three Rivers VW Club is the official VW car club partner of the PVGP.

2015 Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Schedule

1. Kick-Off Rallye

• Sunday July 5th first car off at 11:31AM
• Car enthusiasts match their driving skills against a “mystery course” through the streets of Pittsburgh. This 2-3 hour event combines your driving and navigation skills. It is a fun, casual way to kick-off our Race Week. Rallye starts at the Visitors Center in Schenley Park and finishes at the Spaghetti Warehouse in the strip district with a car show and a meal.

     2.   Blacktie and Tailpipes Gala

• Friday, July 10th at South Hills Country Clup
• 7pm -- 11pm
• The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix will host their annual blacktie party benefiting the PVGP charities. A must for any auto enthusiast. Tickets $250 each.

        3.   Racer Test & Tune at Pitt-         Race Complex

• Friday July 10th
• Vintage race drivers get a chance to tune their racers and practice on the track for the races that weekend. $165 for the day, free to the viewing public.

        4.   PVGP Historics at Pitt-Race      Complex

• Weekend July 11/12 - 9am -- 5pm
• The 12th Annual PVGP Historic Race Weekend held at the Pittsburgh International Race Complex presents a variety of vintage (pre 1960) and historic (after 1960) racing along with related activities in Beaver Falls, PA. Watch the races and take a spin on the Kart track – proceeds benefit charities. $15 per day or $25 for the weekend, kids under 12 are free. Saturday night features the Flashlight Drag Races. Bring your car out to the track and lay some rubber.

        5.   Invitational Car Show on   Walunt Street

• Monday, July 13 - 5pm -- 9pm
• Nestled on Shadyside’s charming Walnut Street view rare, classic and exotic cars – a sampling of what is to come on the weekend at Schenley Park. Show cars by invitation, free to spectators.

        6.   Waterfront Car Cruise

• Tuesday July 14 - 5pm -- 9pm
• Join us and see over 500 cars of all marques. $5 donation to the charities is requested.

        7.   Downtown Parade & Car     Display

• Wednesday July 15 - 10:30am -- 2pm
• 100 Race and show cars will gather at Station Square at 11:00 and thunder into downtown Pittsburgh on their way to car displays at the U.S. Steel Tower, PPG Place, Market Square and Point State Park.

        8.   Grand Prix Tune-Up @       Atria's

• Wednesday July 15 - 6pm -- 9pm
• A special happy hour downtown with a new location – Atria’s at PNC Park and a car show on the Clemente Bridge! Live entertainment and silent auction. $40 per person at the door includes appetizers and one complimentary cocktail.

        9.   Countryside Tour

• Thursday July 16 - 10am -- 3pm
• The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix hosts a Countryside Tour as part of its race week events and you’re invited. The inaugural event was a great success and the second year was even better. The Coventry Inn hosts a lunch and there is no specific requirement for participation.

        10.   Hard Rock Cafe - "Cars &   Guitars" Concert

• Thursday July 16 - 7pm -- 1am
• The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix is excited to hold this event at the Hard Rock Cafe at Station Square for the third straight year.

        11.   Schenley Park Car Shows        and Race Qualifying

• Saturday July 18 - 11am -- 4pm
• Come see classic, antique, and exotic vehicles including British, American, German, Asian and Italian cars on the golfcourse. Watch 150 vintage racers compete on the track all day to quality for Sunday’s featured races. $30 per car in the Car Show.

        12.  Schenley Park Race Day

• Sunday July 19
• The 10-day event closes with a bang as we continue with the races and car shows all day long.

What is the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix?

The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix is the nation's premiere vintage motorsports festival. Now in it's 33st year, the PVGP has grown from a one day event to a 10 day festival of everything automotive. Bringing car enthusiasts and racers from all over the world to Schenley Park. See cars from every corner of the globe and cheer on the vintage racers as they take on the challenging street course that is made up of closed public roads through Schenley Park. 100% of the proceeds from the event each year go to charity. Since 1983, nearly $4 million has gone to benefit the Autism Society of Pittsburgh and the Allegheny Valley School. The PVGP is racing in the streets, the way it used to be.
